Aloha. We hope you enjoyed a great Thanksgiving holiday and are gearing up toward December’s annual festivities! This post is a quick update on the latest activity from Oahu Home Buyers.
After a lengthy legal battle, we finally secured access to our rehab on Hanakahi Street in Ewa Beach. We don’t give up and though it took a few months longer than we’d hoped, we were able to get in and complete a beautiful renovation. You wouldn’t believe the interior makeover of this house! We could have done more, but we found a buyer for it on Craigslist and got them locked in. To that end, they were able to pick and choose some of their custom renovations. We’re closing later this month and they’re super excited to own their new Ewa Beach home!
Just up the road, we’re in the final stages of another Ewa property, this one a lovely townhouse in Mariners Place on Kaimalie Street. The homeowner needed to leave Hawaii and so we stepped in and cashed them out, buying the property “As Is”. We painted, upgraded the flooring, kitchen counters, plumbing fixtures and other knick knacks. The market responded well as we’re preparing to sell to a buyer in contract in just a couple weeks.
Moving up toward the mountains, we’re almost at the halfway point of our rehab on Makakoa Loop in Royal Kunia. You’ll see our sign in the corner of Makakoa and Kuoo. This was another situation where the owners wanted to leave Hawaii and reached out to Oahu Home Buyers for assistance. We used private mortgage capital to purchase the home “As Is” and then got to work on the renovations. Less than a day after putting up our sign on the corner, we found our buyer and they’re in contract as we speak, ready to move into their custom new home 🙂 We let them choose the paint colors, flooring, carpet and other items.
