It’s summer. In Hawaii. So, of course, it’s hot outside (especially in later summer). That means some people won’t want to go out.
And the buyers who do come to your house will be very critical of just how cold (or not cold) your air conditioner is… even though it may be them that leave the door open and lets out all the cold air. (this is a reminder to make sure your AC works if you’re holding any open houses)
Reason #2. It’s Dusty
It doesn’t matter whether you live in a dry area or a humid area, the summertime heat creates dust, which gets tracked into your house and covers everything. It can be a mess and a hassle. And when the sun is streaming through the windows, you can actually see the dust floating through the air. That’s not a visually appealing factor for potential buyers.
Reason #3. There Are Fewer Buyers
In the summer, many people are taking vacations and get away from their busy lives. The kids are out of school and time off from work has been booked, so people want to take their families to the mainland, visit family in Asia or travel elsewhere. Even though there may be fewer buyers, many sellers love selling in the summer because they think it’s more convenient.
